Quality but intense off-gassing

The mat is of excellent quality and the perfect size. But I was very surprised by the intense chemical smell when I removed it from the box and rolled it out. It's almost 24 hours later and it is still intensely off-gassing and the smell has permeated my office so thoroughly that I can smell it coming up the stairs. It's given me a headache, and I'm not particularly sensitive to smells. If you buy this for a home office, you may want to hang it outside or somewhere it can off-gas for awhile before bringing it indoors.
